RL Game: Return of the Adventurer's Guild Empty RL Game: Return of the Adventurer's Guild

Last year we had a quite sucessful (up until someone went on a killing spree) adventurer's guild style campaign where people would take it in turns to run adventures for the group of PCs revolving around one point. This enabled everyone to build parts of the world around the guild and introduce important NPCs. This summer we shall be bringing this back in style but starting from a new guild and new characters. Each DM can allocate suitable roleplaying xp to the player characters and all loot/xp should be resonable for the level and difficulty of the adventure. Any favouratism of their Character or purposefully killing of other player's characters will be met with some penalty yet to be decided.

If your character is to die you may make another at the minimum xp for the level the deceased character was at, if you feel your character is underperforming powerwise or otherwise want to retire and remake your character you may bring in a different one at the end of an adventure with 1000xp less than your previous character had.

Characters will start at level 7 and it'll be a 32 point buy. Feats every odd level.

    Background:

Mael Judoc comes from a small town on the far north eastern edge of the clockwork empire, an area which is poorly protected from the attacks of outside wildlife and is an easy safe place for the Kasserat underground. Mael's family owned the large and prosperous inn at the centre of town. Mael's first two decades of life were uneventful, the occasional raid from the savages outside the empire, the occasional mysterious group of strangers spending a few days or weeks at the local inn before moving on. However that quickly changed with the new House Dystas head of security which was elected, he ordered a crack down on all Kasserat underground known activities and unfortunatly Mael's hometown was one of the suspected locations. A small contingent of clockwork soldiers, only a few hundred but easily enough to lay waste to the town, was dispatched with the orders to cut down any suspects. The human leader of this contingent was a particulally ruthless young associate of House Dystas who wanted to make the best impression possible.
The people of the town thought that this contingent was only dispatched to find members of the underground resistance but when the guards on the gate were slaughtered without a word panic spread throughout the town. Many people took refuge in Mael's family's inn and waited for death those few who could bear arms standing by the door in a gesture of defiance to try to take down as many as possible in order to protect their friends and family. All this time Mael spent in a fury, calling out prayers and requests to all the dieties that came to mind, only one responded. Yasul called out to Mael and granted him the power to destroy the invading forces at one simple cost and Mael took it. Invogorated by magical energies granted by the diety Mael tore down his opposition with ease.
But as the dust settled and the energy disapated from his body he was left with an archaic tattoo of a lesser known representation of Yasul burnt into his face and marked as an outcast from his own home and family. Mael managed to hold onto some of the power that Yasul granted him and was gifted with the power to mimic spellcasting but his continious use of this ability is an acceptance of his pact with Yasul becoming stronger.
