Right, back to basics. It's going to be more of a combat orientated campaign and will be run on the forum (here). For the rules on making your character, check out the character forum. When we are ready to begin, I'll post here with the setting.

Re: Back to basics campaign
Nargacht, the shadow of the north, had long been there, forever trying to push its fingers of death and destruction. It has many dark beings at its command, and used them to persue an agenda of evil. Thrice had it succeeded, only to be thwarted by the combined efforts of those it tried to destroy. The last time, the last incursion, its great leader had been slain, and the crown it wore was taken from it as a trophy. However, the possessor of this artifact was slain on his way back to his homeland, and the artifact lost.
Kalus, Kensei, Katala and Donahan have worked together for several years. Over that time they have learned to trust each other and work together easily. Spending much of their time on the move, they found themselves bogged down in adventure after adventure. However, they found themselves on a greater path when a messenger caught up with them.
The four were summoned to a council in Rondawin, a convening. There were the head leaders of the men, dwarves, elves, outer reaches and even the 13th Court Guard from Cathennia. They had found this artifact and, indeed, had argued over who should keep it until the wise Yalmort showed them they were being influenced by the things evil, and that it should be destroyed.
However, to do this, it would need to be taken deep into the dark reaches of Nargacht and crushed between the hammer and the anvil from which it was made. They argued some more about the best way to do this, and who should go, but it was decided that a small team should do this, and that each faction present should be represented.
So they chose Kalus 'the Hand' to represent the wizards, Kensei 'the Hammer' to represent the 13th Court Guard, Katala 'Elf-friend' to represent the elves, and Donahan 'Stone-bastion' for the dwarves.
The friends set out eastward, to cross the Severian river and go north through the forgotten halls of Dhun Kazahr under the mountains, thereby bypassing the majority of Nargacht's armies and slipping into its territory.

Re: Back to basics campaign
Bad news.
I won't be continuing the campaign for quite a long while, as I won't have any internet due to having to 'focus on revision.
Sorry guys, but someone else'll probably run something so don't worry.
