Modern Campaign

Lathra keeps an eye open in the direction of the enemy base. "So, Barry.... where you from?"

"Nowhere", Barry shrugs off the question, and sits facing away from the others waiting for the car to come, whilst humming a simple, sad melody

Right on time the car draws up. "Ah See you too have got back the captured wan. Easset eh? Anyway Boss is waitin back at base, you get tha' mission done?

"Yeah." He puts Lloyd in the car. "Hard work though, we took a bit of a beating."

"I feels fine, lets go."

The car drives back to headquaters. When you get back you see Major Ariston waiting outside. "Come inside, get some medkits on those wounds. Sigma came back a little earlier, he is resting up." You all follow him inside and he hands you each two medkits which heal you for 20points in total. "You will be properly debriefed on the mission in the morning, I would also like to know the details of Lloyd's capture at that time. Get some rest all of you, You'll have another assignment in a few days and there is lots of things to do in the meantime." Major Ariston turns and leaves.

"Right, I'm off to bed then." He heads off, and practically collapses onto the bed after stripping and cleaning the rifle.

"I assume people want some improvements to their weapons I could be at least some use in the mission..."

The next morning you all rise to see Major Ariston waiting for you in the main hall. "Good morning gentlemen, I trust you slept soundly. Today is a day off, not that you've earn't one, the base we sent you to covertly attack has been hit by an artillery strike thanks to the beacons Barry and Lathra placed. Those shells are coming out of your wages, do not fail me again. In other news I am working on aquisitioning some more equipment for the team, if you have any requests I may think about granting them."

Well I need a complete replacement of kit, cos ,well I lost it... could I also have some tools so I can make stuff and actually do what I'm good at...

"Give me an exact list of what you need and I'll see what I can do."

Well a SCAR-H would be nice, but any assault rifle will do, a glock or other machine mistol would be a huge bonus but any side arm is fine, some semtex and stun grenades would be good. Also basic tools to make stuff to upgrade peoples weapons, soldering irons, spanner, screw diver, metal.. ect. ect.

"I think the entire team would appreciate a portable med kit or two if possible, maybe some light armour. As for me, I could use a holographic sight and an M320 attachment for my M4. If those are unavailable then a silencer for both or one of my weapons will be fine"

"A silencer and thermal sight would be great. The silencer's less important though, but would be useful.

I can do thermal sights if I get my tools...

"Some armour and a new minimi would suit me fine"

"Looks like armour is high on the agenda, I'll see what I can do. Anything else?"

nah I think we've said everything...

"Excellent, I shall work on aquiring equipment momentarily." Ariston turns and leaves.


You have the rest of the day to do whatever you wish.

"I suggest we either get some more rest, do some training, or talk tactics"

"I work hard, I sleep hard..."

Barry trudges off to where they are bunked

"I'm gonna check over the weapons and stuff, make sure it's all working and ready. Can't really talk about tactics until we know the next assignment though."

Seconded. I cant really do anything untill I have some tools/...

In the late afternoon Ariston comes back in. He has 5 cards in his hand. "These are your credit chips, they have all your monetary wealth on them, 200 credits infact. Would have been 300 but those artilery shells don't come cheap. As for your equipment I got what I could find."

He whistles and two men carry a large crate into the room and place it on a desk.

"This is what I got: 2 medkits, 2 sets of paddded armour, a SAR 21, an MP5 and two more frag grenades. Also for our engineer friend I couldn't grab any tools but there is a workshop the other side of town that you can probably use, the owners are very friendly and sympathetic with the security forces' needs. I'm suprised you didn't scout out this city we're based in today. You could have found it yourself. Anyway sort out this new equipment amongst yourselves and be up early for tomorrow as you have another mission."

Lloyd takes the MP5, the ammo for it ammo and the grenades.
